16"x 20" Magazine Cutouts

I made this piece in 2021 almost immediately after having a panic attack. I was working as a visual specialist doing merchandising at my local Nike store, when in about a 3 month span that job went from being the best job I'd ever had to being the worst job I'd ever had. I'd reached my limit with the management issues, corporate scandals and accusations, misconduct and injustice from store managers.

It's taken me 3 years to understand what this artwork means.
We overcome evil and hurt with the installation of good (beauty) because retaliation in our circumstances only prolongs the lack of forgiveness and mercy that upset us at injustice in the first place.

The mind comprehends but the imagination apprehends; all these are felt and seen by our hearts as it holds memories, emotions, joy and pain.
